Kids-in-Charge 2008 “Play @ Work”

Play is serious business for children! Why is play so important?
  • Play allows children to use their creativity while developing their intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development.
  • Play helps children master new competencies that lead to enhanced confidence.
  • Play encourages children to move at their own paces and discover their own areas of interest.
  • Play offers parents a wonderful opportunity to engage fully with their children.
Our Play @ Work event will show how games can be fun, while boosting growth across critical developmental areas. Through the activities, you will see:
  1. How games can help children to brainstorm a variety of solutions to a problem (critical thinking).
  2. Predict the consequences of one's actions (cause & effect).
  3. Practice dialogues about solving problems and expressing one's feelings (language & literacy.

Come on and join us in the fun:

    • Alligator's Swamp
    • Trail's End
    • Musical Bases
    • Pick-Up Sticks
    • Dodgeballs

Play @ Work aims to create a greater awareness of how children learn in a play-based environment. So unleash your inner child and join in the fun at our centres on the following dates.

We can't promise that your children will be neat and clean at the end of the day, but we guarantee you a blast with them!
